Number formatting
In Word 2007, when I type the year, for example, 2008, it displays: 2,008. I do not want the comma in a year. How do I make it stop inserting the comma?

I am happy to be proved wrong but I did not believe that this was possible without autocorrect or a macro - at least not in English versions of Office.
My guess is that some wag has added a series of autocorrects to replace numbers in the 2000s.

Options > Proofing > Autocorrect Options
